Princess Cleopatra Dahabiya Nile Cruise

Dahabiya is an Arabic word meaning ‘the golden one. It’s a large, comfortable sailing boat of a simple but elegant form with two large sails. Our boat is a replica of the original Dahabiya boats from the 19th century. Built by local craftsmen in Esna following the design of a typical Dahabiya used in the past. They offer the romance of the past combined with the comfort of today.

8 fully furnished air-conditioned cabins and 2 suites with a private terrace, 10 in total. When you sail on our Dahabiya, you will have an unforgettable experience as you will feel the beauty, not just see it, as you pass through the green valley, islands, farms, and villages, off-beaten-path attractions, and the romantic view of the pure sky full of stars. Feel convinced, enjoy your privacy, and relax on the sundeck in the morning under the sun and in the evening under the sky filled with stars, hearing the peaceful voice of the Nile while you are reading your novel and listening to your music while having your favorite drink.

For those who love change, what is better than waking up every day to a different and amazing view? Then have your breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals all on board while sailing the Nile and enjoying the beautiful landscape. In between, stop at towns and villages to visit famous historical landmarks along the Nile and others hardly visited by tourists.

So don’t miss this chance.

Foods on Board Princess Cleopatra Dahabiya

Egyptian cuisine is one of the most authentic and delicious attractions.

Within a combination of elements from across the Middle East and North Africa, as well as Greece and France, reflecting the various influences Egyptians have had throughout their history, Egyptian chefs typically put their own spin on his version of the most loved foods in Egypt.

You might find that hummus can be flavored with cumin or mixed with beets, and the influences vary across the country.

The Mediterranean influence is most evident in Alexandria, a city on the north coast, while in Aswan, in the south, the influence of the Nubian and Sudanese culture is more prominent.

As you jog through the streets of Egypt, it is easy to find a variety of small cafes and food carts serving very traditional meals for as little as LE 10-15.

The staples of the Egyptian diet consist of “Ful, Taameya (Egyptian falafel) and Aish (which means” bread “and” life “in Egyptian Arabic). Food and drinks in Egypt will definitely make your mouth water.

In our Dahabiyas, we take into account hotel elegance and the traditional touch to enjoy a different experience without spending any risk

Dahabia Nile Cruise

Why is Dahabiya different from the regular Nile Cruises?

The regular Nile cruise takes hundreds of people on board, sail very briefly, managed by big and noisy engines, stop only 2 times on the way unlike the Dahabiya, all your time in real sailing, your stops at least double the stops made by the regular cruise. Add to that, Dahabiya normally has a limited number of cabins, varying from 5 to 12 cabins which make it more suitable for families and friends traveling together. All those who tried the comfort of the Dahabiya and experienced the Nile Cruise, they know the big difference between them.
